Matthew Shepherd is a self-taught underwater and scenic photographer who artistically captures magnificent moments in nature. Below the surface and beyond the horizon, Matthew’s images showcase the beauty of diverse spaces as if they were frozen in time.

Matthew’s love for all things oceanic intensified when he discovered underwater diving. His enthusiasm for scenic photography developed as he explored these intense underwater worlds. Matthew’s captivating portfolio continues to grow as he embarks on extended expeditions in the Micronesia and beyond.

His artistic interpretation of nature, the fine composition of his images and the ability to cleverly manipulate the technology of modern photography gives others a spectacular glimpse at details often missed by the human eye. 

Through his lens, Matthew’s dream is to artistically document nature around the globe, whilst emphasising the importance of environmental preservation. His works are an appreciation and celebration of life.
